I have done this. I am running a HKS Fcon VPro on a SC400 92'. It was off of a Supra TT. It's running as a piggyback on the stock SC ECU. I am building the motor and twin turbo with a 6sp. Awhile back I was having problems with the MAF when they stopped making it, so I went for speed density setup on the Vpro. I just dont have a tune in it yet.

Yeah in piggyback its a little easier but it can be done as a standalone also.

I don't personally know anyone running it, you will have to do some more research, I have read about it online and on Lextreme but those guys seem to over complicate the small details sometimes and get off track, but there are several who have done it.

I am sure it can run a v8, the aem ems is a universal unit designed to run up to v10's its just plug and play for that style connector on the supra but if you look at the installation instruction sheet it tells you the pins for all the extra injectors and pins you would need to run a v10 if you wanted, its just a matter of matching the wires up and then the softwre is the hard part.

I wasn't trying to walk you through this whole wiring project or spoon feed everyone on how to run a 1uz on an aem ems, I am simply telling you it can be done and its not as hard as one would think since the connectors are so similar. I am not going to figure out the settings for you or show you how to wire it up. Sure if I was already doing it I would share the info, but since I am not I am guiding you to how you could figure it out yourself.

what you are also trying with the FIC, can and has also been done before probably much more than the standalone so not sure why that is not working for you but it does work with all the piggybacks also and would be easier to install.

Ok I appriciate all the info... not trying to have you lay it all out main thing was the fic8 not being wired right and the 8 injectors are all there... but I have looked at it and im probably sending my fic to be reconfigured and will try to re wire by traceing the wires and ohming them for resistance... I will be going the aem standalone in about a month its just a few modifications required for sequential....

Makes sense, the FIC should work, so maybe there is an issue with the unit or didn't tap into the right wires. double check the way you wired it depending on the harness used.

Well I found out for one the unit wont hold the newer flash... I figured out the wireing though and I do have all 8 injectors on ecu harness, but all other wires are same as 94 to wire for the fic except power is in pin 71 on e10... when I flash the unit it just goes to the screen refer to the flashing section because software needs updated... I called aem and they told me the r file needs flashed and I flash it compleats and says secussfuly flashed... then go to connect and bam same message again on flashing it
