Nice numbers but that turbo is way to big for the motor. I guess if you like lag this is the turbo for you

Ebanks elluded to wanting to run an 8 sec 1/4 mile. That's too much lag for you? :-)

Although the 981rwhp run was done without N2O assist, I believe he has spool up kit with "200 shot direct port, shuts off at 20psi".

Yes that turbo is to big for a 2jz motor. Come on the thing needs a 200 spool up shot. The Venom 2jz powered truck doesn't even run a turbo this big.

the truck is also a pro import vehicle too... it prolly will make less power than ethan's ride will... and it won't be running 8s on drag radials (which is the class ethan wants to go in)... i think ethan knows what he's doing...

The Venom truck runs a GT80R and makes 1500HP. It's the fastest 2jz powered vehicle out. Im sure ethan will run an 8. I was just saying he doesn't need a turbo that big to do so.

With the spool up kit the boost goes from 3psi to 23psi in less than one frame of datalogging (less than one second). That doesn't seem like much lag to me. Also, the car makes more power with no boost than the the stock SC300 does at peak power. Venoms own in house supra had to spray all the way to the top to make as much power as my car, and they run methanol.

Also, just FYI the Venom Tundra runs twins, not a single, which combined are MUCH larger than my one turbo.
