Why does our EFI relay get hot?
I had recently been reading through some prev. post concerning fuel pump issues, and a member said his EFI relay would be so hot it would burn his fingertips. The first time I checked this, my car had set for a few minutes, and I had to unscrew the fusebox cover. I checked and it was warm but not really hot. Then I had an issue that I needed to unplug my relay after a 20 min. drive, while it was still running, and it did burn my fingers. This is with a new EFI relay. I new they are metal jacketed, im guessing to dissipate heat, but this seems abnormal?

Mine is like that, too. Good thing I added the resistor to my EGR delete and hopefully won't have to pull it anymore to reset the CEL! (The EFI 30A fuse would probably suffice.)

doesn't unplugging the battery simply reset the ECU? that's wat i usually do, but i guess if you don't have a 10mm with you makes sense to pull the fuse. i got a toolbox in my trunk so i've never pulled that fuse.

Yours is 10mm? Mine is 13mm.
