Default Clogged cat

I just bought a 93' sc300 and the owner told me the exhaust's cat was clogged and that under full throttle it isn't getting the power it should because of this. I was wondering if the blitz nur spec r catback exhaust would fix my problems?

The cat is before the exhaust, so a new exhaust will not fix the problem. The first thing to do is pull out the cat and confirm if this theory is correct.

What I'd do is remove the cat(s), (emissions allowing) then run a straight pipe to some mufflers.

I would verify that is the problem by removing the exhaust at the midpipe and taking a look (or have a mechanic do it). a catback is after the cat so if that is your problem then it would not fix it as said.
it could be lots of other things to cause it to loose power also, so don't just assume the last guy was right.
