Default Knock Sensor 52 - 93sc4

I've been dealing with this for way too long now. What used to be a code 25 & code 52 is now just a code 52. (Knock Sensor) Here's what I've done.

replaced both front bank o2 sensors (twice within 12 months)
Replaced all plugs, both caps & rotors & new spark plug wires.

The normal car goes from 2 to 15 minutes just fine then CEL light & Trac Off comes on. Motor retards etc etc etc.

I'm at the end of my rope with this. Whenever I turn off my car, the next 10 minutes all hear is the constant coolng down of the heat shields. I've always thought that was very abnormal, even for a car that's 22 years old.

So help me out. Is this problem my knock sensors or what?? If so, how many knock sensors are there? 1 or 2? location?
Thank You.

There are two knock sensors, but they most likely aren't your problem. Get the ECU serviced (capacitors) if you haven't already. When they leak, or if water gets in there, it's likely to pool up against the knock sensor inputs and corrodes the connection.

That's exactly my worry. Throwing more money into this and it not fixing the problem. I've got a really good mechanic who isn't expensive at all Not sure he does too much ECU servicing though. How involved is that process?

You've already spent a lot more than that on stuff that has zero chance of addressing the problem. Consider it necessary maintenance at this point in the car's life. The caps will leak soon if they aren't already.
