"Tial 35mm wastegate-new $200*"
Great!!! I was glad too see you went with a tial and dropped the delta-gate. The delta is a P. O. S . that has cost me three fully built motors in my past. I had a problem with it sticking but I never caught it until the 18psi spike on the dyno, it leaned out and cracked my rings. I still cant believe the guy still charged me 450.00 for dyno time that morning after blowing my motor. As with anything with a turbocharger, there is no cheap way of doing it right. Take your time and get all the parts to do it right the first time, if you dont have the money wait until you do. It will be cheaper in the long run than buying a new motor!! Good luck with your project!!!!

the turbo i wanted finally came in

4" inlet, .70 A/R compressor and a .70 a/r exhaust, v-band and 3" exit

its a pretty damn big turbo... i like it a lot

found a new Super ITC; its JDM tho and instructions are in japanese... trying to find english instructions; shouldn't be too hard tho... and it was $160 still in the box

scott, i think i'm going to run the ITC along with the BTM... i'll dial back the mid-rpm timing; advance the low rpm; and use the BTM to retard the ignition more over the whole powerband when boost comes on...

what do you think? or should i not even bother and just use the ITC to follow the KISS principle?

I don't see how the ITC can hurt. It will allow you to retard in the 4000-5000rpm range where detonation first occurs.

installed fuel pump today; direct drop in; easy; i now have a write up and will be keeping track of my various installs via my sig

took about 2 hours total; getting rear seat tops restitched while I'm at it; the stock stitching got worn out

going to have to have seats professionally restitched, the rubber underlining is nearly rotten... too hard to get a walmart needle through :/

Thinking of installing my ITC tonight... I've got a writeup and have decided that the install will be identical to a SupraTT...

just for clarification the ITC works by modifying the crank angle sensor and cam angle sensor readings

went and bought fittings and oil lines today

bought 32" of -4AN SS braid hose, 12" of -4AN SS braid hose, 2 1/8" to -4AN adapter, and 1 1/2" to 1/8" adapter...

i still need one more 1/8" to -4an adapter; miscounted :/

cool **** is tho it only cost me $24 total

HELLA cheaper than buying oil line kits

they've got mandrel bends, intake piping, and square piping for my manifold...
so i've almost got everything squared away; will be installing kit when manifold comes in

I went and bought 2 more 1/8" to -4AN fittings and a 52mm autometer gauge cup to mount my DEFI d-gauge on top of the AC stuff

I'm getting a LS400 MAF because I've found out a AFC is not enough to tune out 500cc injectors when running 330s stock

yesterday at work i was bored so i made a huge list of everything i still need to buy and little stuff i need to do to make this work, stuff that isn't always thought of.... hopefully this will help some of the others along still working on making their own kit; because there is a TON of them out there right now... GOOD LUCK GUYS!!!

I'll be putting my ITC writeup soon enough after i hook it up to my car

Parts to buy:
-----------------
LS400 MAF
4 1/8" to -4AN adapters
1 1/2" to 1/8" adapter
1 1/8" NPT tap
4" to 3" pipe adapter
3" intake pipe (some nice curved polished pieces at a local shop)
3" v-band clamp and v-band downpipe adapter
4 2bolt 3" exhaust flanges
2 3" u-bends
Gasket material for gaskets:
-T4 flange gasket
-4 2bolt 3" exhaust flange gaskets
-oil drain gasket
35mm to 2" mild steel adapters for wastegate piping
52mm mountable gauge cup

Things to do:
------------------
*tap oil send at 1/8" NPT on turbo
tap oil-drain on block at 1/8" NPT
tap union bolt at 1/8"
*merge O2 sensors
*have T4 flange connected to manifold via TIG weld
*dump tube for W/G
downpipe, testpipe, cut cat-back
*hookup ITC
*hookup LS400 MAF and 500cc injectors
*hookup boost gauge
*mount AFC, ITC, and boost gauge

*=can be done before actually putting turbo/manifold/wg in car

i personally paid $525 for it; but i shipped Dave a 35mm flange for my wastegate since the manifold was setup for a 40mm(they run about $25)... and i have no turbo inlet flange on mine(which would have added a good bit more)... because i'm going to use a T4 flange instead of a grand national flange... your mileage may vary; i'm not sure how much it'll cost normally

i should get my manifold within a week... Dave has extreme attention to detail and he test mounted my manifold and found that he had to press it in hard to make some bolts fit and so he sent it back to the fabricator to be fixed...

it comes with a one year warranty too; and Dave says it won't crack and that i'll understand what he's talking about when i see it
