My 96 model has developed an odd "tinkling" sound in the auto transmission. At first I thought is was something as simple as a loose exhaust pipe bracket as that is what it sounds like. Transmission performance is seemingly unaffected.

Does this mean anything to anybody ?

I guess I'm hoping it is something that can be repaired rather than going through the expense of replacing the whole thing.
