Default 1994 sc400 tranny issues

So i bought a one owner 1994 sc400 with 200,xxx miles for a low price of 700 dollars it is clean inside and out. Except one problem i try to put it in gear and doesn't go anywhere ive tried them all L 2 D R nothing if i give it some gas and let go of the gas and put it in drive from neutral it jerks but doesn't go anywhere. Its got red tranny fluid but when i checked it it smelled kinda like a burnt clutch would. could it be just a bad solenoid? Or a clogged tranny filter ive looked searched for a couple weeks now cant figure it out. O/D also flashes when its on but not when its off. My brake light also stays on when i put the e brake down. Any ideas. Im very confused

If your pretty certain it's the trans, then just replace it. There's a relatively low mileage one on the classifieds right now for $300.

that's dielectric grease don't worry about that. if fluid smells burnt, first do a flush. if that doesn't work, then start checking solenoids. it's probably just the fluid
