Thanks for the information. I'm just curious how hard it would be to locate a soarer driveshaft as well as the rear end. Anyone have any sources?
As for the swap, I swapped in the 2jz myself. I picked up a complete US spec 98 motor with 30k on it for $3k, it was missing some electronics i.e. ignitor, resistor, noise surpressor, etc.. also was missing the motor mounts so I went with some trd mounts, that is only scratching the list, all of the little things ADD UP!!! If you ever have any question just shoot me a pm.

i think the clutch idea is; you have to use a MKIV flywheel and pressure plate; but a MKIII disc... the MKIII clutches won't bolt up to a MKIV bolt pattern...
speaking of transmissions, i saw a T56 transmission adapter for the 2jz now THAT would be interesting if it could be done because they are a dime a dozen and prolly just as strong as the supraTT 6-speed
