Check wengine Light Wiring fr 1jz
Does anyone have an updated guide for wiring up the check engine light for a 93 sc300 1jz swap? The previous thread pictures expired so I dont know where to start.

Sorry about the spelling errors in the title.
But I did end up figuring it out for a temporary fix.
So locate the check engine light output pin on the ecu and use that as your multimeter ground. And then find a 12v power supply, I used my cigarette lighter 12v because i have a push button start wired up to it.
Use the 12v power for the + lead on your multimeter, After jumping te1 and e1 in the diagnostic connector you should be able to see on your multimeter that whenever it goes above 12v that means the light should be on.
So by using the multimeter to read the voltages you can see when the light blinks and count the number of times it goes above 12v.
I have a patch harness and am using a 2jz ecu so my check engine light pin was pin 6.
I hope this helps. I would take pictures but im at school and my entire engine harness is sent to Tweak'd performance and my car is at home 300 miles away from school.
