Default Mines'-converted ECUs and automatics

Hi,

I'm looking at a rear-sump 1JZ-GTE non-VVTi out of a Soarer JZZ30 that comes with an R154 and a M/T ECU that's been converted by Mine's.

My question is: Would this ECU work with the A340E as well?

It lists both MT and AT on their website, and I'm not sure whether this means that it will be able to handle both types of transmissions. I have heard around that they can and they're a complete re-write from the original MT programming (which as we all know, cannot control an A340). I'm assuming if Mines' makes only one tune for the JZZ30, it's assumed that the tune can control both the R154 and A340E, but then again I don't know the process (maybe they ask you if you have an MT or AT?)

Thanks.

Without seeing that website , I will assume that it probably is just an indication that they both have one for MT & AT transmissions. ECUs are different for a car with a manual or auto transmission car.

An ECU for a manual transmission car won't work on a car with Auto Transmission BUT , you can use an ECU for a car with auto transmission into a car with manual transmission.
