My door jam says 01/94. Im asuming that its the date of build. I have found that in 95 the upgraded to lighte connecting rods. I have herd those rods are weak, and cant take alot of boost. On my regerstration its a 95 car, did i get lucky and find a pre 95 engine build and get the more heavy duty connecting rods and a 10.0 to 1 compression and more likely be able to ad a small amount of boost.

Hmm I feel like this is common but then again, manufacturers build and ship cars out well before the calendar year of the model to be sold. There are already 2016 models in lots as we speak. There's a serial number on your block you can check if you really want to know.

When they refer to changes by model year, they usually apply for the model year itself, regardless of when the part was actually cast.
Some manufacturers have been notorious for casting blocks early in a line and having them show up in models up to two years later. Ford iron block modulars literally sat for years before being pushed into F150s and some Mustangs.
Sometimes, manufacturers will even start spilling out blocks EARLY if they start running out of old supply. LS1 Camaros toward the end of production actually came with LS6 blocks.
In both examples, there was no real benefit since the actual components were still in spec for their model year. I highly doubt you have a 94 spec motor. It's most likely a 94 build date, built to 95 specs. I would expect the components to be of durability and relative strength of other 95's. Cars built in Japan don't magically appear within a few days here and get sold so their actual production is months ahead of time.

I would do like Kris9884 mentioned and look up the serial number on the block. Or, pull the oil pan and look at the rods, themselves.
