Default Can someone please tell me which sensor this is?

Hey guys, I just purchased a 95 sc400. Previous owner states timing belt and spark plugs were done recently. He also stated he broke this sensor and unable to put it back together. Please let me know which sensor this is so I know which part to buy. I'm not sure if it is a cam or crank position sensor. Also, when trying to start the car it sounds like it wants to but just doesn't. I'm hoping its just this sensor. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Can't say I recognize that sensor. The connector looks like it could be IACV, EGR, and possibly a couple others. Tough to identify without seeing where it goes.

That is a crank position sensor that is missing its electrical plug in. The way that connector is wrapped makes me think it is the harness for the crank position sensor.

The seller stated it that it's the cam position sensor, I'm not sure if he's positive though. I guess I will have to maybe get both sensors. All I know so far is that it seems like it's positioned behind the driver side rotor/cap plug wires

If it is right under one of the distributors, then it is the cam position sensor. You should have 2, one under each distributor.

Thanks guys. I ordered the cam position sensor driver side online brand new for $30 bucks. Advance auto didn't have it and Autozone is $90 and needs to be special ordered. Should arrive by next week.
