Post a video of your SC300 w/ muffler deletes!
First off, will this cause problems with the car? now then...
I've looked and looked and there's a great lack of content about SC300's with ONLY the mufflers deleted. I'm looking for a low cost way to get a better sound. Post videos and your setup if you've got them!
Tentative plan:
-Delete mufflers
-replace with straight pipe
-end with either baffled or double-walled tips
Thoughts? and would stock diameter be the way to go? Can I expect any engine/performance/mpg problems by doing this?

It won't cause any problems with the car because I think everything after the cats doesn't matter, you may lose some power on the low end as people usually say but I haven't noticed it to be honest.
I had just the mufflers cut off and double walled tips installed to fill in the bumper cut outs, I also went with stock diameter because I didn't think it'd be worth it to go any larger.
I can't find any pictures of how it looks after but when I get my car back (being painted) I'll post a picture of how it looks and a better video. It's pretty loud as it'll set some alarms off and it's at it's loudest at around 2k rpm's. Grand total was $120.

Dang that sucks! My exhaust looks stock from the back/sides so I don't think you'd have a problem unless a cop literally looks under your car and at that point I'm pretty sure he/she was going to nail you for SOMETHING.
Maybe look into electric cutouts? Like right after your cats, at a flip of a switch you'd have the muffler delete sound without removing the mufflers. A quality cutout is necessary to avoid any leaks though.

So if anyone else has info or videos then share the love!!

I feel removing the mufflers will be to load and load is not a better sound in my books, a good sound is a tuned low noise exhaust with an option for a cutout for highway pulls, the most annoying thing is hearing a load car going down the street. most people will agree .

On my sc300 i have the manzo m2 axlebacks with the resonators deleted. The manzo's are decently affordable too. I enjoy this setup because it's deep and bassy. Put headphones in and you can hear/feel the bass.

Anyways, it always passed emissions in Nashville and I never got a noise ticket. Ran that setup for 3 years with no problems.

Finally got around to those videos
Granted they weren't full throttle/redline but you get a sense of how they sound. I don't think they're obnoxiously loud unless you're mashing the gas 24/7.
revving up to about 4-5k
ps. 1080p/60fps might not be fully processed on the second video as I just uploaded them!
