Nice to see this project get done!!!! Maxes me wish I would have never sold my 95. Maybe one day I will start this project again, but seeing your results are awesome. I have a feeling you'll be heading back to SP soon enough for a custom intake manifold and throttle body setup and a little more boost

Let me guess? You got it back, took it for a drive, blew the tranny, and now you're frustrated all over again?

Thought I toasted the trans after one day. What actually happened was that somehow the trans pan was dented in badly enough before I received the car to dent in the trans filter and partially close up the inlet. The marks on the pan clearly showed it had been bottomed-out. The pump wasn't getting enough fluid, therefore the unit didn't have sufficient line pressure, and was not happy making shifts. I've gone into it, straightened the pan, gone through the valve body and replaced the filter. It's fine again, shifting better than it was when delivered, wish I had found this problem and corrected it before I drove it under boost. I'll be babying the car until I can have the trans built, this little upset got me paranoid, this is my daily driver after all. Drives great though, throttle response is real crisp and the turbo spools very quickly with the vvt-i, even with the .81 housing.

Here's the valve body and new filter. I have the A340E, which is similar to the earlier sc3 transmission except that it uses three line pressure control solenoids and does not utilize a throttle valve cable, as it's electronic, similar to the unit in the tt supra. SP added an electronic shift kit of sorts to raise the line pressure, and I opened up the pickup orifice in the filter a bit (at 1am last night in the driveway ) to provide a little additional volume.
How's it work now? Gets the car loose on a 3/4 throttle 1-2 shift. Haven't pushed it yet though.
