Default Does gas spoil?

I have about 5 gallons of 100 octane unleaded race gas that I bought last year, and never had a chance to run because we got a storm and I put my car away for the winter. So I was wondering if the gas would be spoiled if I put it in my car for the track? How long does gas stay good for? The gas is about 7 months old..

Yeah I wouldn't run it. I've seen fuel go off in bikes stored over the winter without fuel stabiliser (and it runs sorta crap even if you had put it in)... also in cars that haven't been started in more than 3 months, I've always drained the fuel. It smells kinda funny when it comes out, the older it is. Certainly I wouldn't run it expecting it to be high quality stuff for racing, preventing detonation at high boost.
