Just an update. Stereo works great. The installer suggested making a sub box with approx .5 cubic foot of volume as most subs aren't designed for open air. Givse plenty of base for me.

I did need to do a fair amount of massaging of the Metra plastic mounts to get it in. I added a phone dock to the top of the center stack that turned out fairly well but I need to finesse the mount. Bit when i return home in a few weeks.

I'll document the finessing of the Metra mount kit and what i did for a iPhone dock when i get home.

I will say that apple CarPlay and my Kenwood deck really work nicely together.
