GE - GTE interchangable parts?
I need to know which parts on the list below are interchangable from the 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE motors.
1. Upper Oil Pan Assembly (lower, baffle and sump too) (i know i would have to drill an oil return line for the turbo)
2. Alternator
3. Crank Pulley
4. Radiator Fan
5. TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)
Thanks in the advance.

Thanks for the quick reply Bean, i'll be using your great fuel pump FAQ to do mine soon. Good to hear that the radiator fan works because i'm missing that also. My only concern with that is the upper radiator hose clearance and if it'll work. So far i am planning on using these parts for the swap:
1. GE Modified Oil pan assembly
2. GE alternator
3. GE radiator fan
4. GE crank pulley
5. GE TPS (checked the part number and they are a match!)
All these parts were damaged when my GTE motor came in from Japan.

Yeah, im pretty sure the water pump is different, the coolant passages ont he block are completely different on the GTE motor. Water pumps should be replaced anyway, they are cheap. I'm just hoping that the GE fan will attach to the GTE water pump pulley.

coolant passages are very similar; so similar in fact that you can swap the heads back and forth and they work fine
tho now that you mention it scott; the water pump MAY different since the stock turbos are watercooled... this assuming the turbos get their water from the pump and not somewhere else down the line
