While working on wiring an aftermarket alarm I converted the drivers footwell light to LED. The original was a super small tungsten filament. I converted to a mini spade connector by using an instrument panel bulb holder that i converted to a socket. i drilled out the hole for the mini bulb holder and enlarged it for the bayonet mount of the instrument cluster bulb. I tested it on the panel from my parts car so you may notice some grey and then tan panel colours. Grey is parts car, tan is my driver.

I forgot to mention, I went to a 5 LED bulb
I also discovered the LED was making poor contact so I added some conductive foil to the bulb (this is ductwork foil, not duct tape)
