Deleting Charcoal Canister
[QUOTE=LexIS007;9820691]Guys,
Any of you removed your charcoal canister to clean-up the engine bay? I am thinking of removing mine during the engine swap, however, I have read people begin to smell fuel at idle or when parked? I know why there would be a fuel smell....im just curious what some of you have done to delete or possibly relocate your canisters?
Thanks
I just disabled my charcoal canister with it still being there and not operating. First off my car is 25+ years old so that canister is most likely dirty as hail. So newer cars shouldn't really do this. Up to you. Anyways i unplugged the line that connects from the fuel line to the charcoal canister. The i unplugged the hose that connects from the top of the charcoal canister to the vent valve (the sensor for the charcoal bs). I then tried to plug the hose that connects from the fuel line opening to the vent valve. Do know, on the vent valve, there is another hose connecting to the throttle body dont mess with it. The hose didnt fit so i bought a bigger size with clamps. I then plugged those two, then i unplugged the sensor.
