Default Are Lexus and Toyota parts interchangeable?

I am about to buy a Lexus and will be living overseas with it from time to time, possibly in remote areas. Toyota parts are more readily available in most parts of the world. Are Lexus parts actually made by / interchangeable with Toyota parts?

welcome to the forum ...

Yes for some parts they are especially if they have same platform (drive & power train / chassis or unibody) . Even some of their minor parts are same in different flat forms. And it is cheaper to buy it as a Toyota part than a Lexus for the simple reason that Lexus is the luxury tag (brand) of Toyota.

I buy most of the parts I need from my local Toyota shop, which is next door to the Lexus dealership. If they don't have it, they can get it for me asap, and cheaper.
