1994 cornering lights to 1995-1996 fog lights
I have used the search tool and found nothing that applies to what I want to do. My clock spring went bad and I was able to get a whole 1996 stalk assembly with the fog light controls. My question that I am looking to have answered is, has anyone converted to fog lights from cornering using OEM hardware? I have a set of the 1996 fog lamps as well. The stalk has the wiring harness all the way down the column with it. I also have the 3 factory manuals for the car and maybe I could look there, but would appreciate any insight from someone who may have already done this conversion. I like to keep things OEM if at all possible. I am skilled enough with wiring and what not to do what ever to make something work, but I want a factory solution.

I looked at it, as I similarly had a spare '95 column, but never pursued it. The one thing I would mention is the bumper. The '95-96 fogs look very similar to the '92-94 cornering lights, but they're slightly different and won't fit the earlier bumper. You'll need to source a '95-96 bumper, try and modify them to fit, or live with the funny angle of the cornering lights as fogs.

If you can find the right fog lights bulbs for the 92-94 cornering light lens then you can convert them to fog lights..
a) intercept the line from the coil of the relay for the cornering lights that goes to the integration relay.
b) Install a switch (or you can use the 95-96 column switch if you have it) to it then to the ground. That will be the switch for your fog lights.
c) Remove / Bypass the cornering light switch that comes after the cornering light relay.. ...just connect both fog lights then to the ground.
Enjoy your new fog lights . You do not need the 95-96 fog lights nor the bumper.

I only picked up the fog lights as I knew the cornering lights were never intended for the beam pattern of a fog light. I guess I will be seeing if I can prove the nay sayers wrong on whether or not the fogs fit the earlier bumper. I will see what I can do now that I have a little to go off of.
Gerrb, thanks for the help. I am in the process of acquiring the last few pieces for the build. I am trying to source a good 2jz-ge vvti head as I am going to try to convert to vvti. I know people will ask why, but because I can I guess. I have a 72k mile stock bottom end and full sound performance f1 ge turbo kit, minus the turbo. When I say full kit, I mean absolutely almost everything minus the turbo. I have a ffim to accompany it as well as the associated i/c piping with fmic. It will be running on pro efi w/ flex fuel. I have some little things to work out here and there depending on how this vvti thing goes, but the goal is maintenance and suspension first and do a massive winter tear down this next winter.
