Default Line Pressure Switch Cable help!!

So my 96 SC3 I recently bought is in rough condition, so i've been doing small things to fix her up before I slam a lot of money down for na-t and manual tranny.... Anyways, I noticed my throttle and cruise control cables were loose, so i tightened those up, no biggie. But I read on a thread somewhere that one thing that could be causing my tranny to kick so hard from Park is the Line Pressure Switch cable being too tight, I looked and it was tightened down as far as possible. I'm wondering if I should mess with it at all, if so what are the measurements?? Or should I just replace the cable?
