Default 93 SC4 Catalyst. Once again, but not again

Hello, Friends.
Recently my cats destructed into pipes and seems reached mufflers, now i am planning to replace main and secondary cats with test pipes and finish the story
I have searched all over the forums and google as well and never found an exact answer to question i have.
INFO
My SC4 is Septebmer 1993, as far as i know, EURO is forced to track work-ability of cats on Oct 1994.

A few questions i got for you:
  1. Is ECU tracking co2 sensors for emissions or the sensor acts only as MAF for EFI to know how much fuel to inject ? (i read that on LS400 ECU was not tracking these prior 1995)
  2. Can i cut the main cats out (they has o2sensor after cats) without CEL appearing ?
  3. If you did cut off your cats, did low-end performance degraded due to less back pressure ?
  4. MPG have to improve. What is your approx MPG now(if you tracked it) ?
Thank You all in advance.

Lets build the Q&A Thread on cats for SC400. a lot of info is thrown around the threads and mostly the same questions answered there

Following is the list of cars went cat less. Please note, the year is the date car left FACTORY.
---
Lexus Sc400 1992 - no co2 codes thrown.
Lexus SC400 09.1993 - no co2 codes thrown.

So that, from one of the member:
on 92 SC400 - cats cut out and no CEL lights, the car drives better.
Any other input ? i am really interesting about 93-94 SC400s.

Id also like more info on this as well. I'm pretty sure my cats are shot on my 93 SC400. If I can pick up some MPG and performance by deleting the cats is like too. Even putting after market high flow cats on are still going to cost a bit. These things run so rich from the factory I doubt the cats really even do that much.

Did you notice any power increase? Also how's the smell? Heard catless makes a bad smell and this is my daily.

Hey,
Regarding power, yes, there is some presence of power. it pushes way faster and responds better.
Regarding smell/fumes - you will have some good fuel smell outside it is also daily and i dont care for the smell
Regarding sound, the sound will become very loud, we are now figuring out where to place H-Pipe to shut it slightly haha. afterwards will post some photos of the work done.
