Default Can a gs300 diff fit into a sc400

Hi just bought a 97 sc400 for drift. I already have a welded diff from a gs300 late 90s-early 00s. So the question is will it fit? Figured I ask and see if anyone had experience with this before I get elbow deep in something for nothing.

I just installed a 3.9 complete diff. pumpkin from a 99 GS300 in my 96 SC300, everything bolted up. No issues whatsoever.
Change the fluid before you bolt it up, much easier. Go for it.

Physically they should be the same and can be made to fit in the 97 rear end with a bit of massaging, while the gearing is actually the same as well, both 3.92 rear ends...not entirely sure but on paper it seems fine.
