I'm picking up my CX Racing coilovers soon and I'm excited about lowering my SC300. It's a daily driver and have no plans of slamming it. I just want to get rid of the gap between the fender and tires. Something that the Tanabe NF210 can't do. Do I still need to relocate the wiring harness? I honestly don't have the skills or tools to do this.

It depends how low you go.... I'm lowered on Tien fully adjustable coil overs about 70% of the way up. Still a good inch or 2 lower than stock especially in the front but as long as your not rubbing your inner fender on the driver side directly above the wheel you don't need to relocate the harness. Being said i still have an inch between the wheel and the fender

I'm not just talking about sitting height, you need put something like spray or tape use ur imagination paint.. on the fender liner above the wheel hit some rough bumps and make sure your clear of scraping. My springs are tight so i clear, thus no wire harness relocation needed right away

It's still something that's worth doing because of all the extra room you get in the engine bay and some weight savings in moving the battery to the rear because weight over the power axle increases grip technically. Like when people put sand bags in their truck beds.

 

If your wheels do not rub the inner liner on bumps and turns, then you probably will not need to. However, it's an easy process to do if you just tuck them up higher (vs rerouting the wires) so there really isn't a reason not to while you have the suspension and wheels off the car already.
