Default Overflow tank

I noticed today my car was leaking green antifree. I dont see my radiator leaking. I cheeked the over flow and there is liquid on the platic cover uder neat it and its almost empty (the overflow). What could have leaked if my overflow dont seem broken eigther?

it could have been over filled and when the car gets hot it overflows into the overflow but if the overflow is already nearly full it will come out until the car cools down. When the car cools down it sucks the overflow back into the radiator.

The radiator cap could be bad, its a cheap and easy thing to replace to find out if that is it. I recently built a new engine for the race car, took it out on track and after 5 laps or so it would blow all the water out and start overheating. Of course I am thinking head gasket, cracked head, etc. It didn't seam to be blowing it out just sitting in the paddock, so we thought maybe its a radiator cap. Replaced it, car ran rock steady about 190 degrees. Very relieved to find that was all that was wrong.
