Default Another GTE swap done!

The car was recently completed by Jarrett@PHR and now that is back in my hands I figured i'd post some pics of it. On an added note, I'd like to thank Jarrett@PHR & Dusty@MVP publicly for their awesome service and work! Dusty definitely went out of his way to get me some of the parts I needed for this project when others wouldn't.

Anyway, here are pics. They are quite large so I'm just going to link them instead of inserting the images. Enjoy!

How about a parts list?

Obviously not the most cost effective way to get 350-400rwhp, but arguably the best in the long run for future turbo kits, etc. Looks like they did a very clean install.

Obviously the cost will very from one persons car to another but I paid in the range of $15,000. I kept the car auto so I have the stock TT transmission.

Yeah I chose to do the swap since I don't plan on staying the 350-400rwhp range .

Parts list as far as performance parts goes or a whole overview Scott?

Nice Clean install. You gotta be very happy finally having it home. Did they dyno tune it for you? Good luck!

Wow! very nice... very very nice. You said that you chose to do the swap yourself. Did you use that manual that phil (is that the guy?) has? what was your down time?

thing is that im really debating on whether or not to use the 1jz or the 2jz. Any 411 on your part would truly help a lot.

man... tempting me with the 2jz. Good job on the swap man.

Jeff,
Looks beautiful!! I bet your just happy to have the car back.

What are the mods? 392rwhp seems a bit low on high boost (how much boost do they consider high?) Unless that was on pump gas
I put down 429rwhp on 100octane and 18psi, besides your auto to my 5spd, our numbers should be pretty close.

Looks like they did a very clean install.

I think his numbers are right on line for that much boost. I have crappy 91 octane gas and I get similar results.

360rwhp @ 16 lbs w/91 octane , 8.5:1 compression , auto tranny , single T04

If he's basing his high boost on 18 that is.

kaotiq: Although I do have Phil's manual Jarrett did my complete swap.

Chris: Yeah Jarrett dynoed the car at 18psi I beleive. But the good 'ol Profec B was bleeding off boost near redline from what he was saying. =(

The funny thing is now that I'm back in colorado the car seems to be holding 1.5bar on the high boost setting no problem so I might hit the dyno again to verify what the car is making.

I have the following Mods: Hks 264 Camshafts & Cam gears, 3" Dp, Greddy MX Catback, Intake, Profec B, Greddy Fmic, egr plates.

Hermosa, I absolutely agree with you. If the runs were made on 91-93 octane pump gas, those numbers are right where they should be.

Jeff, just be carefully turning up the boost, 1.5bar = 21.76psi, is a lot of boost to be running on pump gas. I would, and I know you will, only use 100+octane, right ? right!

Again, congrats!

Chris

Pump gas I usually run 15-16psi. Yeah, I mixed in some 110 octane before doing that. I don't need to spend anymore $$ repairing stuff just yet, hehe I rather get some more upgrades soon.

I'll get some more dyno's done soon.

110 Octane is leaded. You don't have a cat do you?
