V-AFC I caught the tuning bug
Hello,
I sat in my friends Prelude tonight up at our local 7-11. I turned his car on and out of no where I see a V-AFC light up. I was like word. He was like yea I bought the car like this, (Body Kit, Int./Exh., Susp.) He asked if I knew how to work it and I said kinda. I remember back in my Honda days reading all about actually working one. Since then I never actually used one and forgot and this was my first time actually using one. I have to say this thing rules. I know our cars don't have VTEC but I assume the S-AFC works in a similair manner? If it does I plan on getting it right away and having fun doing some real tuning and taking myself to another level of tuning, past the usual. Any one can post comments but I was just really saying that this AFC tool is really cool in person and now that I've used my friends, I want my own.
Thank You,
-Brian

If you plan on tuning on the street, you'll need a wideband 02 sensor and controller, otherwise forget about tuning an SAFC unless you take it to a dyno. Narrow band 02 sensors that stock ECUs read are no good for fuel tuning, they can't tell 10:1 air fuel ratio from 12.:1 air fuel ratio. On boosted cars there could be a hundred rwhp hiding in an untuned car.
