I just bought a 97 SC400 and all the starter will do is click. Any Ideas where to start. Is there a way to test to make sure the starter is bad, or could it be something else? I notice there is no mileage showing on the odometer when you turn the key on as well, and shifter is broken, so it looks as if the wiring to the over-drive button is not hooked up. I'm not new to working on cars, but this is my first lexus. I bought this car not running, and have no history on it whatsoever. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if anyone is interested in it, I would sell it. I just picked it up at a local auction. I thought it was cool, but I'd sell it. It's been sitting a while, but with some work, it could be a nice little ride.
