Default Heater VSV on TT swap

The Lexus Sc comes with a heater VSV while the MKIV TT does not. After doing a little research it seems that guys that have done this swap choose not to hook up this vsv system. Why? Is it better to pretend that is not there and connect the heater hose as if they were in Supra it self? Does this cause any known problems in the A/C system of the car? And if you were to hook this VSV system up for what ever the reason be, where would the flow originate from and where would it end up? (ie: the top flows out into the heater while the hose ajacent to it flows out of the car in the stock Supra set up). Would the hose of the Supra that feeds out of the motor to the heater feed to the in of the VSV while the other hose connect to remaining connection on the firewall?

Any info whould helpful since I am about to drop the new motor in pretty soon as soon as the wiring is done.

Thanks,
Adriel

the 2 pipe connections on the actual engines are basically the same.
i reused all the sc heater hoses/connectors onto the tt engine.i'm going
w/ a big single, so you may need to use the tt pipe extension behind
the rear turbo to make that connection. as for the vsv & control valve
i hooked up & reused all the sc stuff. electrically you have to add the
connector/wire for the vsv to the harness, that way the heat/ac will
funtion correctly from the sc control head.

Default heater VSV

Adriel,

No need to shortchange your car. May as well make the VSV functional, it's not a big deal.... the connection is at the A/C connector under the glove box. Basically prevents hot water from even entering the cockpit unless commanded by the AC system. Email me direct at phil@fly-hawaii.com and I'll be happy to help you get this set up right.

thanx phil for helping him w/ the wiring - i won't post any
connector/pin id's - if they dont have your book , they'll
have to figure it out themselves. i only wanted to keep
him on the right track & not bypass/delete it .
