Default High idle issue Trouble shootin!

Heres the situation, any pointers in the right direction are appreciated

1996 SC400 with 270,xxx

Before it was stored for the winter it ran fine but was leaking/ingesting power steering fluid , blowing smoke at start up and lacking power

Maintance done over the winter:
New valve cover gaskets
New plugs + Wires
New caps + Rotors
New PCV and hose
Compression test (172-175)
Throttle body cleaned (removed from intake and cleaned/dried with electroncs removed)

Reset the ECU and Started the old girl up. To my dismay the idle shot up to 1500 rpm
Checked the throttle cable slack, played with the TPS sensor to bring it down a bit, adjusted the itle screw and still nothing.
Reading through the fourms I was told it was normal and to take it for a rip. Sure enough the idel started to come down 600rpm
Cold starts were always a bit higher but that was to be expected
Car stopped smoking
Stopped loosing PS fluid

THEN A MISKATE HAPPENED
The + terminal fell off while driving, I guess I didnt tighten it up nearly enough. Noticed it almost stalling while low speed braking which lead me to notice it. After reattaching and starting car would start but not idle without manaul throttle input. After a few seconds of holding it allive It would idle around 200-300 rpm
Thinking the ECU actualkly reset now, and that my previous TPS,cable,Idle screw medling is now showing my desired tuning I tried changing them back
Make changes, start the car and the idle few way back up to 1500 rpm. Trying to change the previous three makes little to no diffrence

What the hell did I do lol
Damn near does a burn out putting it into gear from the idle
Car back to smoking
Just had to refill the PS resevour

BUT HEY I GOT MY POWER BACK
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated
