I AM new here hi everyone (1992 SC400 starting issue)
I have a 1992 lexus Sc 400 , can anyone tell me why my car won’t stay running and why it sounds like it’s engine may have been flooded ? When I start the car it turns right back off and it also sounds muffled when I start it up ..

Hello KyontaeBey and welcome to CL!
I've moved your query into its own thread in the SC300/400 > Performance and Maintenance section.
It may help to be more specific with your vehicle's starting symptoms. This is a VERY wild guess on my part as I am not as familiar with the 1UZ-FE (SC400) engines but have you checked to see if your air flow meter is working (and remember NOT to spray any cleaning agent into it! On these cars you do not clean any of the air flow meters). This is the metal encased electrical assembly that connects to your factory air box.
That having been said, can you elaborate in some further detail so that we can better have an idea of what is going on with your SC400?

Try making a video of it upload it to YouTube and then attach the link to the video here. That way we can see exactly what happens.
The other guy guy is right though. It could be your MAF sensor. You can buy new on eBay for cheap. But anywhere else they want you to buy the metal part also which costs like 500. So just clean the old one that you have on your car and then put the new sensor in.
Also so you might want to clean your throttle body and replace your spark plugs spark plug wires and even the distributor cap and rotor.
Also so try changing the ignition coils. You have two. One on each side. They have short spark plug wires and connect back to the distributor.
Also change the the air filter.
