Default Coolant Reservoir Tank

Folks,

I need to replace the plastic coolant reservoir tank on my 1995 SC400. I'm getting conflicting part numbers. The original Lexus part number was: 16480-50023. This part comes up as discontinued and is replaced by Lexus part number: 16482-50020. I've talked to 2 different dealers and looked at several online resources. One source says the new part fits and another will say the new part doesn't fit. I can get the original part for $300. The replacement part is only $180. Does anyone have any direct experience with the replacement reservoir? Can anyone confirm the replacement reservoir does actually fit. It'd be nice to save $120 if the replacement reservoir fits my car. Thanx for any and all replies.

Why not just go to a junkyard?
