Hoping someone who has done a vvti into an early chassis (92) sc4 can help. I have my Aristo vvti swap completed with the wiring working perfect so far (stayed completely stock to not put too many variables in testing my wiring. mods to come once speedo and tach are fixed). Motor and trans drive great on my test runs, but still needing to get the Tach and Speedometer working. I know the tach will need either a converter or to swap an sc3 cluster in so I'm not worried about that. What I'm hoping for some help with is the speedometer.
Stock, I know that the speedo is a 3 wire for the non-vvti ge and gte's; likewise with the 1uz. Currently I see two speed sensors on the aristo trans, a 2 wire sensor that goes to pin 4 and pin 10 of B3 along with a second speed sensor going to pin 5 and pin 11 of B3 on the aristo ecu. I wired the pin 5 and pin 11 sensor to pin 6 of IK1 and pin 7 of IK1 respectively. The speedometer "works" with this wiring but the speedometer registers 0mph to past the 160 marker on a blip of the throttle while in gear.
Do I just need a dakota box to correct this? Do I have the wires backwards? Am I way off and need to tap a completely different set of wires? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance fellas!
