Beatin' the tranny questions ... is the flywheel the same (Supra/Lexus) ?
I need to order a new clutch kit. I am probably going to get the HorsePowerFreaks Toyota Supra 93-98 HPF CLUT 21s235mmS (SUP4) ACT 5 spd (Sprung Disk) / ACT PP 689.00
But it is for the Supra (93-98 5 spd) ... I know we have the same tranny, but do we share the flywheel ? In other words ... will this work ?
Thanks

It worked for me!
Tip: If your flywheel isn't too torn up you can turn the stock flywheel. Ignore what anyone on the Supra boards say about turning the flywheel, ours is not the damped version that they have, and it does not need to be dry turned.
Also, I'd pull the flywheel, take it and the pressure plate to a transmission shop and have them balance the plate to the flywheel. I've got a little shimmy at 1400rpm that I believe is related to the plate not being perfectly balanced to the flywheel. Just make sure that the match marks are there so that when you pull it apart for assembly it all goes together in the same bolt holes.
Also, the HPF clutch doesn't come with any bearings so you'll need the pilot (input) bearing and the release (throw out) bearing. You'll also need the clutch alignment tool as the HPF doesn't come with this either.
I'd be really tempted to get the version that is unsprung. Seeing the springs, and that I've broken them in the past, I question whether the HPF springs in the disc will hold up long term.
