Default HID Bulbs not fitting inside 1999 sc400 fog light housing

I have purchased the GTR Lighting 5th Generation 55 Watt Single Beam Filament H3 HID's for my 1999 Lexus SC400 fog lights, the bulb dosent fit inside the housing, the bulb hits the middle deflector inside the fog light housing, my bulb is 1.63 inches long and the fog light housing will only take 1.45 inches (measured with calipers), has anyone come across this problem before, which HID brand have you guys been using in your 1998-2000 fog light housing? Im thinking of trying Morimoto HIDs next but from the looks of the picture it looks just like the GTR Lighting HIDs, and might be just as long and have the same fitment issue. What about drilling a hole right through the middle of the deflector? Any work arounds or any ideas? I have looked all over the internet and all the forums for this issue

Edit: I figured out a solution, i wont be posting picture unless someone asks but I found a simple way to fit the bulbs, so before i tell you this i want to tell you that most of the HID bulbs you guys will be buying from almost any HID provider they will be 4cm exactly in length from the very bottom of the base where it attaches to the headlight housing, to the tip of the capsule which equals 1.57 inches still not enough for the 1.45" depth the 1998+ fog lights provide. I was thinking of drilling out the the middle of the center diffuser using a 1/2 drill, while i was doing that the diffuser popped out, so that when i realized i could push back the diffuser back a bit giving me the .2 inch space i need to fit the bulb in without popping the whole center diffuser out, i did this by pushing the metal tab inside the fog light housing the center diffuser slides in the place it locks (there is only one tab), i pushed it back just far enough before it popped out to fit in the HID bulb. So now I am able to put in the bulb without a problem.

I encountered the same issue you have. No H3 HID bulb I could find would fit inside the OEM fogs due to the glareguards.

The solution I came up with was baking the fog lights in the oven, separating them, then unscrewing the glare guards inside them and tossing them. Resealed the fogs. Done.
However I don't run HIDs in there now, I use low wattage LEDS that turn the fogs into bright DRLs that I use pretty much all of the time.
