Help needed designing a high beam delay circuit.
I had my high beams converted to HID’s by OGS. I also have my low beams converted to low and high HID’s by Organized Garage Status (OGS).
This means when I have high beams, I have high beam HID’s from both the low and high beam housings.
I don’t want the dedicated high beams (in the high beam housings) to turn on immediately when I do a high beam flash. The shutter on the high/low in the low housing will be adequate for a flash.
I want to delay the dedicated high beams in the high beam housings from turning on for 1 second. This will keep the dedicated high beam bulbs from getting beat up by “flashing” to pass or informing oncoming drivers they have their high’s on.
I've toyed with the idea of a separate switch for the dedicated high's but would prefer to simply retain standard switch function and use some device/circuit in line, preferably just shunt inline between the plug/bulb.
Any ideas on the best way to accomplish a delay circuit/device?
