Default SC300 tranny tunnel MY differences?

I've read in some other posts that the '95s have a bigger tranny tunnel? is this confirmed? is it only 95 or 95 and later? why did this change? the auto tranny in the 95 is the same as the 94s right? I'll be doing a TH400 conversion on the car, so i'm looking to start with the model year that is the best match...

any info would be great!

thanks,
Jeff

that is what I have heard also, cannot confirm it from first-hand experience though.

seems pretty odd... changing the dimensions of the tranny tunnel would be a fairly significant change to the unibody, i'm not sure why they'd do that if everything was working fine on the 92-94 cars... who's got the answer!?

I do know the 5spds 95 tranny tunnel is a little taller. I don't know about wider though. maybe that a automatic only thing.
