I'm not entirely sure but if the *engine ECU* thinks the car is always in park then that very well could be keeping the cruiser control unit and its ECU from allowing cruise function to work. The trick will then be how to convince that 1999 SC300 A/T only ECU that it's not in park or neutral but rather in "D".

Further, there is a cruise cancel switch that needs to be installed in the OEM manual SC clutch pedal and a little nylon OEM stopper goes just behind it to allow depression of the clutch pedal to cancel any active cruise control operation.

I don't know if anyone has managed to solve getting cruise control to work on a 1998-2000 SC300 manual swap but if it is possible it will have to involve the above changes through whatever wiring tricks will allow it. That or maybe something is possible with a 2002-2005 IS300 M/T ECU custom wired in to talk to the SC300 chassis and its near identical 2JZ-GE VVT-i engine. If any CANBUS signals are involved that is where it will be complicated but 1st generation IS300's are probably pre-CANBUS.

Add to that their engine ECUs are shaped differently than the SC/Soarer, MKIV and GS/Aristo ECUs so a custom mounting bracket for the floor board would need to be fashioned along with Dremel trimming a bit of the plastic kick cover's underside ribbing to get an IS300 M/T ECU to fit in there (assuming that is even a good idea to begin with that will present no other incompatibilities).
