Default Walbro 255 into stock sc300 questions

So my fuel pump ecu is starting to go out and while i was in there i thought why not upgrade the fuel pump cause its 25 years old and I'm eventually gonna go NA-T. I've been researching but haven't found a conclusive answer. If I were to bypass the stock fuel pump ecu and upgraded to a walbro 255 on a stock 2jzge would the car run fine through the stock FPR, or would I need an aftermarket adjustable FPR to slow down the feed and keep it from running excessively rich? This is my "daily" (don't have to drive or commute every day) and makes 2hr+ trips every once in a while. Thanks for your responses.

You don't need to touch the stock FPR until you increase the size of your feed and return lines, it will run just fine.
Basically, the stock FPR is good for whatever the stock fuel lines can handle, even with a walboro or denso etc..

For example I ran a basic na-t setup with a walboro in the tank, stock fuel ecu, stock fuel lines, stock fpr, bigger injectors and it put down 400hp with room for more power.
You can get to 500ish hp on the stock fuel lines before they are a restriction, at which point you would do the lines together with the fuel filter and FPR.

Thanks @Ali SC3 that answers my question perfectly! Hoping to get to your TT ecu mod and NA-T very soon.

No problem, good luck and post up questions if you have them in the tt ecu mod thread will see it faster there.
really you just need a walboro or denso pump (id probably go denso from rock auto that was just discussed in another thread) and bigger injectors for a simple and reliable na-t setup.. and the tt ecu mod of course.

I know right, that is pretty darn good for 440cc injectors especially. I knew they flowed a lot up top due to the stock 1:1 rising rate with boost but that is pretty darn good.

It makes me happy to know that if I have turbo issues with the twins I can always go with a modest single and still make good power on the stock ECU if I so choose.

Yeah, there is just a little more plumbing with vvti using a maf, not sure how it reacts to a huge single but something reasonable should be fine.
Look up the spring mod, my brother did it on his mk4 and it lets the first turbo give you more boost which makes the 1-2 transition less annoying, but it does work turbo 1 more so not everyone does it.

The 1-2 transition is often times annoying, isn't it? haha. I'll definitely do some looking, but I am trying to keep the twins in good shape and not be too hard on them so they last me a while lol. I don't have any plans to go huge single, but a modest single if/when the twins fail would be a fun project!
