Default 92 SC300 Mass Air Flow Sensor

My 92 SC300 is in need of a Mass Air Flow Sensor. I’ve tried cleaning it and after letting it dry and reassembling it, I drove it around 2-3 miles. Was told they sometimes have to relearn after being discovered. Pulling in to a parts store my car died. Turns over finally not won’t start. Anyone have a suggestion or know where I can find a MAF SENSOR? Thanks

Ebay used replacement or rockauto. You only need to replace the sensor itself not the whole housing.

And for all pre-obd2 SC300’s and SC400’s you cannot clean the Karman-Vortex sensor (early MAF). If you do so you will permanently damage it.

We can’t ever clean one of these early style MAF units but it’s also unnecessary.
