Note: You can knock off around $3000 if you want the car running bare bones and look for deals.

If I had do it over, I would get a fmic, and attempt to make the ic pipes myself.

As for the hours, I really did not track it.

well....I appreciate you listing the price for all the other components you need to buy...but yea...hopefully I can save a couple of hundreds by doing some of those things myself...I like making my own stuff....even tho they might look unprofessional...but they work just as good if I pay for them...

I've asked this before and gotten no response, but what (other than location) is the difference between an SMIC and FMIC? Obviously the FMIC gets more air and thus runs cooler air to the intake, but is that it? SMICs seem to be a bit cheaper, but I don't know/understand why.

im not qualified to answer that.

I think alot of it has to do with looks, efficiency, pressure drop, etc.

SMICs are generally smaller in size... they are also easier to hide if you're into that
they can also be converted into Air/Water setups; which is why i chose to mount a side mount in the front turned on its side (to not stop airflow once its a solid a/w)

SMICS are smaller and also can be found used from supras, thus making them cheaper.

The Supra TT sidemount is also somewhat of an airflow restriction at higher hp levels... It just doesn't flow enough to efficiently make big hp numbers (450+). In the 350rwhp range, the SMIC is fine and doesn't heat soak.

Oh damn,
I used to work on my DSM in an unheated garage

the worst thing is when you accidently hit your hands when they're freezing cold! DOh!.....

I was gonna get one of those propane radiant heaters, but then I lost my garage anyways....
