lower a/c hose needed 1996 sc300
Hi all. I am in the beginning of a trip and While pulling out of a spot in front of a store, a piece of rebar from the parking stone ripped and gashed the lower AC hose that goes from the condenser to the compressor.. None to be found either from the mechanics trying or my googling for hours. Ebay doesn't have one nor does Amazon.
The part number is. 8871024160.
If any of you all know where one of these can be found, it would be a godsend!
Driving through 100 degrees with the windows open is no fun for a three month trip and I need to come up with any idea that will work.
Maybe a part from another model/car make. Or someone has one laying on their garage floor after building their drifter.
Any and all ideas are welcome.
Thank you for any help,
Mitchell

Keep us posted if you find it locally.
There is a website where you can order parts from Japan - https://www.amayama.com/
I found your part number on that website, but it isn't cheap. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/8871024160

Yeah, thanks. I tried them too.
Got a lead on ebay but not sure it is the right one.
A shop in New Jersey, where I will be next week, says they can maybe make one or repair somehow the one I have.
It is HOT in Virginia now!

What about having a ac shop make you a new hose, might have to remove hose and take it to them. I replaced a hi pressure power steering line a while back and had a local hardware store that specializes in hydraulic hoses for construction equipment make me a new hose and it was quite a bit cheaper than purchasing a new hose. Hope this helps

Yes, I will be seeing a guy at his shop on Monday for this very reason. It sounds like he does it on a regular basis. If it works out, or not, I will let you all know.
Thank!
Thank!

Did you find anything? Let us know. If not, depending on where you are in Virginia it would be worth a trip down to Murphy NC and buy one from Spencer. He is a bit unpredictable on shipping stuff, but if you show up to his place he will have what you need. He has a pile of these SC's. PM me and I'll point you in his direction.
