i have a 1993 sc300 na-t, and my auto tranny is going dead on me, the over drive is flashing, the tranny slips when its in drive, and the other night my 4th gear went out. so i want to change it into a 5-speed, so i need to know what i need to change it into 5speed.

If you can get either a Getrag 6-spd from a Supra or an R154 5-spd from a J-Spec JZZ30 Soarer/JZA70 Supra... I'll let everyone else tell you what else to get because I can't remember (besides the clutch assembly).

and by any chance does any one know the prices for the tranny (just the 5speed) from the supra or the sc300, and the other parts that i need for the conversion.

Why waste the time and $$$ on a 5-speed swap? By the time you do the conversion, you'll have a driveline that's about as adequate as your auto, now.

Spend a few extra dollars above the 5-speed swap and get a built auto.

shifter assembly
shifter boot
clutch master cylinder
cltuch slave cylinder
clutch line
fly wheel
clutch
driveshaft (??)

I know there is more things. Doesn't seem too bad.

how much does a built auto tranny run about?
