I have a 92 SC400 thats been sitting for a few years, I haven't done much and have had it for 2 months. It turns on but will not stay on without someone manually holding the throttle body open while im sitting inside. I have a distinctive clicking noise when you turn over and lasts for 5 seconds and goes away. The sound is coming from the throttle body Motor and aswell when I look the first valve is stuck open. Whats causing this? Could a speed sensor, crankshaft sensor cause the engine to not stay on? Is the first valve supposed to be open because of traction control?? I just need some answers please!

if you hold the gas pedal does it stay on???? or does it only stay on with someone holding the throttle body open? Its a little unclear tbh... May be bad gas?? did you clear the tank and added fresh fuel?

My friend has to hold the throttle body for the car to stay on. The first valve is completely stuck open, and the motors on the throttle body click and seem broken. I put octane booster in the gas. So I know it isn't a fuel issue.
