In reading the various ECU threads there appears to be (2) ECU upgrades that are used. One is the Weapon-R (when checking their web site I do not see anything) and the LexusPros that offers the computer upgrade and FULL computer upgrade. Several questions on the LexusPros ECU uppgrade:
- Who has used the chip upgrade and what is your feedback?
- What is the difference between the computer upgrade and FULL computer upgrade? What HP gain?
- Do you get a new chip/board that you replace or do you have to send in your chip?
- Is there a discount we get as part of clublexus?
- Why would I NOT want to do the upgrade?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Actually it doesn't take much to see that I did do a search. The posts that I did find from the search were from several months ago and I suspect that there may be some updated information some members would be able to post. And some of my specific questions were not answered in the previous posts which is why I posted a new thread.

It's the same ecu it ever was.
...or i should say... the OP was too general, if you had those specific questions, you should ask them.

I have the lexuspros FULL ecu upgrade, and it is the only thing done to my otherwise stock car. You have to understand, all ecu upgrades, when installed will only be fast after you calibrate them (running 0-100 full throttle a few times) for just a few days, themn the computer just ritards the spark timing and fuel mixture to improve fuel economy.
It is realistically only useful when you go to the track, reset it, and run the 1/4 about 5 times or more, each time you'll shave 1/10 a second off, good for about half a second total off 0-60 and 1/4 mile. It makes the 92-94 car have similar power and torque figures as the 98 and up SC400s, with a slight loss of fuel economy.
Certainly not a bad upgrade... the low end power improvement is quite exciting, and the powershifting from 1st to 2nd is a real kicker! But unfortunately I dont have a job right now, and I wish I had the 1,200 I spent on it... no more mods for me for about a year or so.
