95 sc400 metallic clank on startup! Please help
Hi everyone , my 95 sc400 has been a runner and very reliable, not daily driven only on weekends, went for a drive today, 1st startup totally normal, went to the gas station around the corner , car still hadn’t warmed up to operating temp, I go to the pump see it’s out of order, re start the car and hear a clanking noise, kind of like the flywheel if you hold the key for too long while cranking , only I didn’t hold it too long , it did it while cranking, went to the next pump , that one had an issue too, at that point I said this drive isn’t meant to be let’s go home , cranked it again and heard the noise again , slightly longer than the first time but engine went right back to running normal, very quiet, good power no oil light on at any point, the car has never done this before, I’m thinking oil pressure sender unit and an oil change as first steps? I checked oil before and after, it was full, I use Amsoil signature series 0w30 so I should have excellent flow, that’s why I suspect oil pressure sender, All OG’s please speak up, lookin at you Kahn and your infinite wisdom thanks

Bump, and update, I talked to my buddy who does a lot of work on my cars and he thinks it was the flywheel making noise with the starter which I agree with as the noise did sound like a flywheel when you start a car that’s already running, still looking for advice guys, I’m hesitant to start the car seeing if I should inspect starter voltage or ground strap?
