1993 SC400 Driveshaft U Joint
Hi all,
My mechanic tells me it's time to replace the center support bearing in my SC. He said I might as well replace the U joint that's there too while he's at it. However, I'm having trouble finding this part online. Can anyone help me understand what I'm looking for here? I appreciate any feedback you can offer!
- Aloha,
Ethan

Hello,
Here is a Parts Catalogue for your car, Part Number for a Support Bearing is 37230-24090. As for the U-Joint, I don't think those are serviceable in those cars, they are crimped in instead of having a clip that can be taken out. While it may be possible to take the U-Joint out and replace it, it will involve a lot more work than it is worth, so if yours is bad, it may be wiser to replace the whole driveshaft, unless there is a professional driveshaft repair shop around.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

The driveshaft U-joints are very tough and I've yet to hear of one going bad even in an SC making 1,000whp+ let alone one with stock output. ^^ The center bearing part that Arsenii listed should do the trick as they can wear out after a couple decades or three of service life.
