http://www.powerhouseracing.com/sc300_turbo.shtml

those guys will do it for $11k, in TX; if you have a rare manual sc300. I don't know how much it will be for an auto conversion.

Anyone know a shop in CA that will do it?

Will it be smog legal in CA?

I doubt that is the price. Transmission is below 2500 bucks and other parts will cost you below 1000 bucks (all used).

Just to do conversion from auto to manual? 15,000 dollars?

Autotuner from FL would do the conversion with parts and labor for 10k. If you have automatic transmission and you want manual, they would charge 1k more. So, 11k for parts and labor.

I plan to do the conversion with the swap of engine and transmission this winter. We'll see.

He was referring to swapping a GTE and A341E into an automatic SC.

I need more coffie. Guess I really am pulling a Bean today.

When I read "auto conversion" is 15k I figured he ment the the transmission conversion. A while back on the Supra mailing list there was a guy who actually payed 10k for the swap from automatic to 6 speed.

Shops always quote different prices, If they actually stay the same price they quote thats amazing.

I was referring for the complete Auto TT Swap (longblock,drivetrain,labor,etc..). Some of the items i purchased didnt relate to the swap itself thats why i said "close" to 15grand. A better estimate would prolly be in low to mid 14's. But yes expect to pay if you get it done professionally by Jarrett @ PHR or any other shop for that matter.

My labor was $6205
Complete longblock $5500
Auto Tranny $1000
3" Steel D/S (driveshaft) $640

Thats $13,345 right there.

I supplied some of the items I.e (Supra TT rear end, axles, etc..).

TurboB6, didn't they also have to make you a custom driveshaft?
